Mr. Vazquez is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Law.  He is an experienced personal injury plaintiffs' attorney and counsels clients on a wide variety of legal matters including personal injury, wrongful death, bicycle accidents, trucking accidents, community environmental contamination, toxic torts including oil spill damage, land use permitting, and eminent domain (government taking of land).  He has also advised on international carbon emissions reduction projects in Mexico and the Caribbean.

Mr. Vazquez received his undergraduate bachelors degree (BA) in history from the University of Florida, where his senior thesis on pandemics, care of the sick, and hospitals earned him high honors at graduation.  Dan Vazquez has been inducted into several prestigious leadership and academic honoraries including Phi Beta Kappa and Florida Blue Key.  Mr. Vazquez attended law school at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where his studies focused on trial advocacy and environmental law including environmental justice for impoverished communities affected by corporate pollution.  Dan Vazquez was a member of UF Law's Environmental Moot Court team, which placed fourth out of eighty-four teams in a national moot court competition with Dan receiving an award for "best oralist." In addition to his Juris Doctor (JD) degree, Mr. Vazquez earned a Certificate in Environmental Law and Land Use Planning with an honors grade point average.  Only a small percentage of law school students are able to complete the rigorous certificate program, which requires students to take a maximum course-credit load over several semesters to achieve certificate graduation requirements.

Mr. Vazquez recently clerked as an extern for Florida Supreme Court Justice Jorge Labarga in Tallahassee, Florida.  Being selected for the Court's externship program is a highly competitive process in which supreme court justices choose only the top applicants to work alongside Court staff attorneys and the justices in chambers.  Mr. Vazquez produced numerous legal memos for the Florida Supreme Court, assisted the justice and staff in preparation for oral argument, and worked directly on several last-minute death penalty appeals.  In addition to his work on the Court, Mr. Vazquez has been an active member of several north Florida Inns of Court.  In 2008, Dan Vazquez studied international environmental law abroad at the Universidad de Costa Rica, where he learned from renowned foreign legal scholars, several of whom litigated before the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.

In 2010, Dan Vazquez was selected by former University of Florida College of Law Dean, Jon Mills, Director of the Center for Governmental Responsibility, to serve on the center's Oil Spill Working Group.  Mr. Vazquez collaborates with the center's research team on developing legal response and policy solutions regarding several oil spill issues including fallout from the spring 2010 BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill.  Mr. Vazquez has made presentations including "The Top 10 Mistakes People Make in Auto Accident Cases" and "The Personal Injury and Environmental Legacy of the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill."

Mr. Vazquez was born in Warren, Ohio and raised in the barrier island community of Satellite Beach, Florida.  He is an avid outdoor enthusiast and enjoys kayaking, hiking, scuba diving, and snow skiing.  Mr. Vazquez is an executive board member of the St. Johns-Suwannee County Sierra Club as well as the Alpha Phi Foundation.  Mr. Vazquez is admitted to practice law in Florida.
